Downtown Asheboro Inc. (DAI) was named Organization of the Year at the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce's 99th Annual Meeting Dinner & Awards Ceremony in January.
Noted during the announcement, Lisa Hayworth said, "Be it their accreditation with Main Street America or the responsibility entrusted to them by the NC Department of Commerce in the administration of programs to deliver measurable results such as investment, business growth and jobs, tonight’s honoree is likely more widely known as the force behind projects such as the Summer Concert Series that draws thousands of people to downtown Asheboro throughout the summer.”
DAI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to creating a vibrant downtown district through preservation-based community revitalization. They are an accredited member of the North Carolina Main Street Program and the National Main Street Center, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
DAI Director, Addie Corder, also received the Emerging Leader Award.
